ABOUT YOU
Experience:
Level 2 City and Guilds dog grooming qualification (essential)
12 months dog grooming/handling experience (preferred)
CPD Accredited in Emergency Canine Care (preferred but can be provided/updated)
Customer service experience (essential)
Qualities:
Genuine love and compassion for animals
Physical ability to work with dogs of all sizes and stand for long periods of time
Confident communication skills
Exceptional customer service skills
ABOUT THE JOB
Responsibilities:
Bathing, drying and brushing dogs in preparation for their groom
Conducting basic health checks, identifying parasites or health concerns
Supporting groomers with handling, particularly with reactive or senior dogs
Confidently interacting with dogs providing distraction or reassurance
Ensuring the pets safety is paramount, adhering to the animal welfare act
Cleaning salon and grooming equipment following salon procedures
Answering telephone, responding to messages and organising appointments
Job Type: Part Time/Flexible hours
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Pay: Dependent on experience
