Car Driver Essential (able to drive a motability vehicle)

We are looking for a reliable, happy, ideally male, Personal Care Support Assistant to work with a young teenage boy with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and Learning Difficulties.

As a wheelchair user with a hoist and communication aid, there is the requirement for personal care tasks to be performed.

This generally happy young lad needs someone who is able to provide considerate care and attention with, if possible, experience of using Makaton to enable him to go out either after school or on a weekend. He likes to go bowling, crazy golf and going for drives in the car, looking at his surroundings.

Not only would you be making a difference to this young man but also to his loving, supportive parents who are in need of a little time to themselves, to maintain their full-time caring role.

This vacancy is based in Tweedmouth and comes with an enhanced rate of pay.

This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
