Are you an experienced Administrator, Transport Clerk, Logistics Coordinator, or Data Entry Clerk looking for a nightshift-based
role in a fast-paced environment? Heron Foods is recruiting a Despatch Administrator (Nights) to join our distribution centre team
at Melton (HU14 3HJ), near Hull.

Shift & Salary Details

* Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
* Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days, two-week rolling rota
* Salary: £27,540 per annum



What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nightshift Despatch Administrator, you’ll support our overnight logistics operation, ensuring store orders are processed,
dispatched, and delivered on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Coordinating shop order processing and dispatch during night shifts
* Issuing loading tickets, dispatch notes, and allocating vehicles for delivery routes
* Resolving logistical issues such as delivery rerouting or vehicle maintenance problems
* Communicating with store teams about delivery times and order status
* Supporting loading and picking teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
* Using internal systems (including Excel and transport software) to keep operations running smoothly

Who We’re Looking For

* Have strong IT skills (Excel, Outlook, Word) and attention to detail
* Bring experience in administration, logistics, transport, or warehouse operations
* Are excellent communicators and problem-solvers
* Hold a valid UK driving licence (for site travel)
