Are you passionate about investment research and eager to make a real impact? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and curious individual to join our dynamic investment team. In this role, you’ll play a part in shaping investment decisions and portfolio monitoring through rigorous operational due diligence and insightful analysis.

The role – what you’ll be doing

Border to Coast are now seeking an ODD Analyst to assist in the monitoring of investments, preparation and maintenance of extensive due diligence reports. You will support investment decision making, monitoring and portfolio construction using internal and external sources of data and research.

Performing ongoing monitoring of existing managers and underlying strategies, including co-ordination of process, you will identify ODD risks and notify any such risks to the relevant teams.

Drive Investment Insight: Assist in preparing and maintaining comprehensive due diligence reports using a blend of internal data and external research to support strategic investment decisions.

Explore New Opportunities: Contribute to the evaluation and initial due diligence of new investment opportunities, working closely with senior team members.

Monitor and Optimise: Support the ongoing monitoring of existing investment managers and strategies, ensuring performance and alignment with objectives.

Collaborate and Contribute: Actively participate in cross-team investment meetings, share your insights, and help shape our investment thought leadership.

Engage with Experts: Liaise with third-party service providers, including advisers, consultants, and research partners, to gather insights and maintain strong relationships.

Champion Risk Awareness: Identify and communicate risks within your area of responsibility, contributing to a culture of proactive risk management.

Support Where Needed: Provide assistance to other teams and contribute to broader organisational initiatives as required.

About you - and the value you’ll bring to our team

We’re looking for people with a keen analytical mind with a passion for investments and research.

Some professional experience, ideally in the finance and investment universe

Ideally you would have operational due diligence experience but that is not essential

Perhaps you have accounting experience, investment analyst, work in IT, data, internal audit, investment operations, private markets investment or a related area

You might have experience in monitoring and oversight of external investment managers

A basic knowledge of private markets, real estate and/ or fund investing is preferred but not essential

A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk identification.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate effectively

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to interact across departments and establish relationships in order to source requisite information and documentary evidence

Please note that this is not a KYC/AML due diligence or investment portfolio manager role.
