Assistant SENDCo - Apprenticeships
Salary: £29,267 to £31,050 pro rata
£17,560 to £18,630 actual salary
Hours: 22.2 hours per week
Location: Castleford College
We are looking for a motivated and passionate Assistant SENDCo to join our fantastic team, where you will provide specialist support across the Group to our amazing Apprentices, with additional support requirements.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional who can promote a culture of excellent behaviour, motivation and high learner performance through excellent standards of teaching and learning. In addition, you should be an excellent team player and have a passion for supporting students to succeed.
You will:
Support the SENDCo and the ALS department with updating records, development of SEN information systems, and organising the delivery of specialist support.
Liaise with other members of staff to ensure support is effective and appropriate, and review and evaluate the support on a regular basis
Develop information and resources for the Apprenticeship department
Contribute to the overall development of Additional Learning Support for apprentices at the Group.
You will have:
GCSE in Maths and English A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
Relevant Level 3 qualification
SEN qualification, or be willing to achieve within 6 months of appointment
Experience with learning difficulties/disabilities
Experience of working with learners with additional support needs in an educational setting
