The Specialist Nurse / Professional: Safeguarding Children will be responsible for providing specialist, complex and sensitive advice and guidance to staff across GMMH in regard to Safeguarding Children in line with national and local Safeguarding Children Policies. In addition to this, the post holder will be expected to influence, develop and participate in staff and student training and policy development.
The Specialist Nurse / Professional: Safeguarding Children will support the Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children in embedding culture and practice in relation to Safeguarding Children, ensuring statutory and locally agreed procedures are followed, Trust requirements for incident reporting are met, and all relevant procedures are co-ordinated and adhered to.
