By joining us at this pivotal moment, you will play a key role in supporting the work of our Local Governing Boards and helping to shape the future of our schools.
We are seeking a Clerk to the Local Governing Boards to provide professional clerking and administrative support to our schools' governance bodies.
The successful candidate will attend a minimum of 13 Local Governing Board meetings per academic year. These are typically held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the end of the school day, between 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Meeting dates are set in advance for the entire year.
Duties will include:
• Provide a full clerking service to the Local Governing Boards of Heathside Weybridge and Heathside Walton.
• Ensure governance practices comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and adhere to best practice.
• Prepare agendas and collate documentation in advance of meetings.
• Accurately record and distribute meeting minutes.
• Advise Chairs and Local Governing Board Advisors on governance procedures.
• Training and ongoing support will be provided
Candidates must:
• Have excellent ICT and literacy skills, with the ability to prepare agendas, collate documents, and produce clear and accurate minutes.
• Have prior experience in clerking or administrative roles.
• Be proactive, able to work independently, and manage their time effectively.
• Possess strong communication skills and a professional, can-do attitude.
• Be flexible and available to attend scheduled meetings, with the capacity to support additional meetings when needed
