1:1 Teaching Assistant - Secondary Academy - Birmingham (B9) - Full-Time - From £90 Per Day PAYE
Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them thrive in education? Long Term Futures is working with a secondary school in Bordesley to recruit a compassionate and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing dedicated support to a student with additional needs, helping them feel confident, engaged, and included in their learning.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to making a meaningful impact in a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Your Role:
- Offering 1:1 tailored support, ensuring the student is engaged, comfortable, and motivated
- Encouraging academic, emotional, and social development through structured activities
- Building trusting and positive relationships to boost confidence and learning progress
- Assisting with mobility needs and ensuring the student is fully included in all classroom activities
- Collaborating with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to maintain consistent support strategies
What We're Looking For:
- Experience providing 1:1 support for students with additional needs - essential
- A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to learning support
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting students with physical disabilities and attachment difficulties
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, but experience and the right mindset matter most!
