The Hays Senior Finance team is exclusively recruiting for a confidential interim opportunity with a dynamic and growing business group. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Interim Management Accountant to provide essential support during a critical ERP implementation phase. This hands-on role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial results across two UK-based entities, while also supporting cross-border finance processes with two parent companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and complete all month-end processes within five working days
- Prepare detailed commercial reports for internal stakeholders, customers, and parent companies
- Deliver weekly internal sales performance reports
- Submit monthly VAT returns and rebate statements
- Maintain the fixed asset register and support currency revaluation
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and journal input
- Provide analysis of product margins, transport costs, stock valuations, and labour costs
- Review KPIs relating to product volumes and production costs
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of month-end procedures and reporting requirements
- Confident using accounting software and Excel for reporting and analysis
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, FP&A, Finance)
- Ideally available to start in July or shortly after.
