Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable General Science Teacher to join a committed and enthusiastic team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across a range of scientific disciplines and foster a lifelong curiosity about the world around them. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a General Science Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the national curriculum.
Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress to ensure high standards of learning and development.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional educational needs.
Manage practical science lessons safely and effectively, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and participate in departmental planning and meetings.
Engage with parents, carers, and colleagues to support students' academic and personal growth.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant science-related degree.
Experience teaching General Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is a plus).
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
A passion for science and a commitment to inspiring young minds.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher.
A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and professional development.
A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
