Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable General Science Teacher to join a committed and enthusiastic team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students across a range of scientific disciplines and foster a lifelong curiosity about the world around them. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the national curriculum.

  • Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress to ensure high standards of learning and development.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional educational needs.

  • Manage practical science lessons safely and effectively, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.

  • Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and participate in departmental planning and meetings.

  • Engage with parents, carers, and colleagues to support students' academic and personal growth.

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant science-related degree.

  • Experience teaching General Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 experience is a plus).

  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

  • A passion for science and a commitment to inspiring young minds.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher.

  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and professional development.

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
