This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-focused individual to begin a career in the commercial and bidding space as a Junior Bid Writer.

Working within a supportive, specialist team, you’ll play a key role in producing persuasive, high-quality written content for bids and proposals across a variety of sectors.

This is more than just a writing role; it’s a chance to contribute to the development of creative, customer-focused solutions in collaboration with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders.

You’ll receive structured training through a mix of online courses, webinars, and in-person sessions, with opportunities to take on more forward-facing responsibilities as you grow.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Write and edit high-quality, compelling bid responses in line with tender requirements and deadlines
Collaborate with bid teams, subject matter experts and stakeholders to plan and shape responses
Ensure all written content aligns with win themes, scoring criteria, and the ISS style guide
Adapt and rework existing content to meet bespoke bid specifications and ensure a consistent tone of voice
Use AI tools and software to support response development and content refinement
Support the creation of case studies and model answers for the bid library during quieter bid periods
Attend client site visits to deepen operational understanding and improve bid response quality

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience in business copywriting
Demonstrates enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn and grow professionally
Naturally curious and engaged, with a genuine interest in the subject matter
Excellent written communication skills with attention to tone, clarity and purpose
Able to take feedback constructively and adapt quickly
Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working to deadlines
No specific qualification or industry background required – mindset and drive are key
