Summary
A leading manufacturer of secure, weatherproof battery charging solutions is seeking a Production Operative to join their team. This role focuses on the assembly and testing of advanced lithium-ion battery charging units designed for industrial and construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble, wire, and test battery charging units in accordance with technical drawings, build instructions, and BOMs.
* Operate machinery such as EHRT, plating lines, and power presses to ensure efficient production.
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness in the workspace.
* Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues promptly.
* Accurately maintain production and inventory records.
* Collaborate with team leaders to manage stock levels and materials.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in production, assembly, wiring, and testing.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
* 2391 (Inspection & Testing) and/or PAT Testing certification is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to safely handle and move materials.
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset.
* Supervisory experience is highly advantageous, with the ability to lead by example and support team development.
