About Us
We are a 10-acre diversified smallholding, growing seasonal, local, and organic produce. Our land is home to a variety of fruit trees (citrus, grapevines, continental fruits), vegetable patches, a large greenhouse, two polytunnels, and a small collection of animals including sheep, ducks, goats, chickens, horses, some beehives and two ponds that support biodiversity. We are passionate about sustainable agriculture and are committed to organic principles and regenerative practices.
The Role
We are seeking a Head Gardener to oversee our gardens and lead the cultivation and care of our fruit and vegetable production. This is a hands-on, autonomous role ideal for someone with a deep understanding of horticulture, a passion for seasonal growing, and a commitment to organic methods.

· Manage irrigation systems, composting, and soil improvement strategies.
· Coordinate with farm owners and other staff to align production with farm goals.
· Supervise and train seasonal workers or volunteers as needed.
· Maintain records of planting, harvesting, and inputs.
About You
· Proven experience in organic horticulture, ideally in a similar mixed-production setting.
· Strong knowledge of fruit tree care, vegetable cultivation, and greenhouse management.
· Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
· Skilled in planning, problem-solving, and adapting to seasonal challenges.
· Passionate about sustainability, biodiversity, and local food systems.
· Physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather.
Desirable
· Experience with permaculture or regenerative agriculture.
· Familiarity with small-scale livestock care.
· Basic machinery or tool maintenance skills.
What We Offer
