Family Worker, in Kirkcaldy for 16 hours a week
Salary: £14.50 per hour
Are you a positive, kind, individual who enjoys supporting others? Do you value the benefit of community and are able to work independently? We have a great opportunity for you.
We are looking for someone to provide maternity cover as our Family Worker in Fife. The role is for 16 hours a week, covering weekends at our centre in Kirkcaldy.
We are looking for an individual who has a strong understanding of the needs of families who have children with a disability or additional support needs, either through professional or personal experience. You should be able to provide information and emotional and practical support to families with children with a wide range of support needs. You will have strong skills in building relationships with people and be able to empower parents and carers to understand and access the support available from external services. You should also be able to create a sense of community that will enable peer support for families that require this support.
You’ll work as part of a small Family Support team who are based in Dundee, Edinburgh, Fife and Glasgow.
