Summary
KEY RESULT AREAS To attend all Trust mandatory training including: - Corporate induction - GHNHSFT mandatory training (to include Infection Control; Safety Awareness; Fire Safety; and Information Governance). To undertake local induction training within the Sterile Services Department as required and complete competencies relevant to the work area. To ensure that all working environments within the department are maintained to a high clean standard whilst being tidy and safe at all times. Assist with staff training sessions in order to progress colleagues through all the required skill levels and develop a good understanding of decontamination practices. To use the tracking and traceability computer system with regard to tray tracking and sterilization in order to ensure that full traceability of equipment takes place. Responsible for the prompt reporting of any breakdowns and to set in place any remedial action as appropriate; all serious incidents to be reported to the manager. To ensure that customer complaints and in-process/end product non-conformance incidents are recorded and reported to the Sterile Services Manager. To deliver a high standard of customer service, communicating effectively with all levels of staff across departments (including all internal and external customers).
