Blackpool Supported Living for people with a Learning Disability (Higher Level Needs)
Creative Support is seeking warm, reliable and proactive Support Workers for our supported living services in Blackpool. We provide person-centred care and support to enable people with a learning disability to enjoy active and fulfilled lives.
You will support service users by providing respectful personal care and support with daily living tasks at home and varied activities in the community. Some of the people we support have higher level health needs or behaviour support needs and will need your skilled support to maintain their health and wellbeing.
You will be expected to use personalised communication approaches and to develop trusting relationships with the people we support and their families.
We can offer both full-time and part-time hours. You must be willing to work sleep-ins and cover various shift patterns (early and late shifts) depending on the needs of the people we support, across a 7 day rota.
We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. Previous care experience is valued but is not essential provided that you have a passion for enabling people to enjoy their lives and achieve their goals.
You must be able to uphold the dignity and rights of the people we support and adhere to our ‘We Care' Values. We aim to be Welcoming, Empowering, Compassionate, Aspirational, Respectful and Effective.
VISA sponsorship may be considered for this post dependent upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Vacancy Reference Number: 84063
Applications for this role must be submitted via the Creative Support website using the above vacancy reference number
Full induction training and ongoing professional development is provided by our Creative Academy, as is the opportunity to work towards Diplomas in Health and Social Care and other accredited qualifications.
The benefits of working with Creative Support include a probationary bonus, pension contributions, 28 days Annual Leave, birthday leave, company sick pay and a free enhanced DBS as well as free life assurance and access to support with your wellbeing.
We are a welcoming and inclusive anti-racist organisation and we are a Stonewall Diversity Champion, Disability Confident and Mindful Employer. We hold the Investors in People Gold award in recognition of our amazing support for the development of our people.
Applications are reviewed and shortlisted as they are received. Please note that we do not provide feedback for unsuccessful applications. We can only accept applications from candidates who are located in and have the right to work in the UK. Requests for sponsorship will be considered for this role but cannot be guaranteed.
