We are hiring residential support practitioners for our learning disabilities home in derby working waking nights.

You will work alongside experienced practitioners and leaders to offer and deliver nurturing care and support for children and young people who have learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs.
The home offers a condensed rota for all applicants, providing a home-life and work balance, alongside a highly competitive salary and bonus scheme.
Your role will see you as a role model to the young people, aiding in improving their overall health and well-being. We want to ensure that our staff team feel valued as that will allow them to ensure that our children receive the best care possible. This will be a home, with a warm homely atmosphere and requires likeminded, motivated, and compassionate support workers to continue to provide outstanding care to our children.
The role of Residential Support Worker involves:
Providing outstanding care to children while applying their individual care plans
Taking the children on activities
Liaising with families and professionals to ensure the best possible care is being provided and carried out.
Taking a proactive approach in supporting the children with attending and engaging in their education
To make and maintain accurate records of the child’s day, including any incidents that may occur.
Carry out general housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning, and completing health and safety checks.
Apply safeguarding knowledge to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the home.
Comply with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations.
What we are looking for from you:
QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (highly desirable)
Experience in a children's home setting or working with young people who have learning disabilities and additional needs (essential)
Supervisory experience (preferred)
Passion to help nurture young people (essential)
Be able to work shift patterns of 4 nights on and 4 nights off (essential)
Full, UK driving licence (desirable)
What we can offer:
- A highly competitive salary starting from £27,000 (£13.00 per hour).
- A noncontractual annual rewards and recognition scheme dependant on the performance of the home - earnings can be £1000+.
- Enrolment onto the fully funded QCF level 3 & 4 in children and young people’s residential home’s qualification
- A condensed rota pattern, consisting of 4 nights on and 4 nights off.
- Robust and comprehensive paid induction, and continued training and development within each role.
- Support and progression opportunities within the home and the provider as they continue to grow within the sector.
