Do you have a passion for market insight and data-driven decision-making? Are you ready to shape the future of student recruitment and academic portfolio development? Join us as a Product and Market Insight Officer at the University of Sheffield.
We’re looking for a motivated and curious individual to bring high-quality market analysis and insight into everything we do in student recruitment, marketing and admissions. If you enjoy working collaboratively, interpreting data and influencing decision-making with evidence, this role is for you.
What will you be doing?
As part of our friendly and high-performing Product and Market Research team, you’ll:
● Design and deliver surveys and evaluation activity across key recruitment and marketing campaigns.
● Interpret data and market intelligence to draw out trends in enquirer, applicant and offer-holder behaviour.
● Support the delivery of our portfolio development process, ensuring our programmes respond to market demand.
● Present evidence and clear recommendations to stakeholders, helping shape processes and improve outcomes for prospective students.
● Use innovative approaches to gather insights and highlight emerging sector trends.
This is a great opportunity to influence the future of our student offer by applying research and data skills in a purposeful, supportive environment.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
● Have experience designing and analysing surveys and evaluations.
● Are confident working with data, spotting trends, and communicating findings clearly.
● Know your way around Excel (ideally at an advanced level) and enjoy using evidence to influence decisions.
● Can manage a busy workload and collaborate with people across teams and disciplines.
● Have excellent communication skills and can present insights in a clear, engaging way.
An understanding of academic product development processes or experience in higher education would be a bonus, but we’re open to applicants from a range of sectors and backgrounds.
