Summary
Chef Wanted – Willow Park Montessori Nursery, South East London
We are a small, independently run Montessori nursery in Eltham, SE9 and we’re looking for an experienced Nursery Chef.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who likes working with children and believes in the importance of healthy, nutritious food during early childhood.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for:
• Planning and preparing fresh, seasonal, and nutritious meals for children aged 6 months to 4 years
• Designing weekly menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences
• Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant kitchen in line with health and safety standards
• Working closely with Nursery staff and parents to ensure children’s individual dietary requirements are met
• Supporting the overall ethos of the nursery, including a strong commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working as a chef, ideally in an Early Years, school, or care setting
• Is warm, approachable, and a good communicator
• Has a solid understanding of safeguarding, allergies, and dietary requirements
• Can take initiative and enjoys being part of a close-knit, collaborative team
• Holds relevant food hygiene and safety certifications
We offer generous holidays and hours of work are normally 9-3pm Monday – Friday.
