Who we’re looking for

Eden Boys’ Leadership Academy Manchester, part of Star Academies, are looking to appoint an outstanding Nurture Teacher to work in our Secondary Academy setting.This role will involve teaching to our Foundation Set pupils in Y7 and Y8. Typically, children in the Foundation Set have levels of reading, literacy and numeracy at primary age and require scaffolded and adapted teaching. With an emphasis on strong quality first teaching, and supported by highly trained specialist assistants, we are keen for our pupils in the Foundation Set to enjoy a rich curriculum and progress rapidly.You will be part of a team of teachers and leaders including subject specialists to support curriculum delivery, a dedicated SENCo and senior leaders to provide coaching and guidance on adapting learning to meet the needs of all pupils.If you are an excellent classroom practitioner who is excited by this chance to make a profound difference to our pupils, we would welcome an application.Candidates are encouraged to contact the academy for a tour and a discussion with the Principal. You will have:

• A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience of teaching in Key Stage 2 and the ability and interest to work within Key Stage 3.
• Track record of delivering excellent teaching.
• A knowledge of what constitutes outstanding practice.
• A good understanding of statutory requirements at Key Stage 2 and 3.
