Mitie is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer - Mechanical Bias to join our team and help maintain a wide range of building systems at one of our key client's sites. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and compliance of essential infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a variety of mechanical installations. This includes ventilation systems such as air handling units (AHUs) and intake/extract systems, heating and cooling systems including thermal wheels and fan coil units (FCUs), as well as water systems like booster sets, calorifiers, and water heaters. Your day-to-day tasks will involve both preventative and reactive maintenance, which may range from basic plumbing to statutory compliance checks such as legionella monitoring. You'll be expected to respond to client queries, report any defects, and provide clear, timely updates. Maintaining accurate records of inspections, remedial work, and service documentation is essential.

You should be comfortable working in confined spaces, at height, and performing manual tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to use a mobile device for reporting are essential. Flexibility is key, as while core hours are 8am to 5pm, some adjustments may be needed to meet customer requirements. There is also potential for overtime and bank holiday work.

-Strong understanding of Health & Safety, Permit to Work systems, and safe working practices.

-Full UK driving licence is essential.

You'll be required to complete a Basic Disclosure Check and may be required to undertake a drug and alcohol screening test.
