We are looking for Barista to join our amazing Retail team, at a leading global investment bank in Central London. We are looking for an individual who has a real passion for the Hospitality industry and food in particular, is keen to be collaborative and takes pride in their work. Job Description
- Providing an excellent standard of customer service, efficient and prompt to all clients.
- Being customer focused at all times by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling client needs.
- Producing coffees in a timely manner and to the WSH standard, and assisting with food preparation as required.
- Setting up service counters ensuring they are clean and fully stocked throughout the service.
- Ensure menus are spelt correctly before service and signage is displayed correctly.
- Have good knowledge and understanding of food and coffee products sold throughout the coffee bars.
- Accurately handle sales and transactions.
- Monitoring and reducing waste with regards to our environmental impact.
- Taking an active role in contributing towards financial targets.
- Assisting in stock take as required.
- Taking an active role in upselling items and promoting sales through promotions whilst being sensitive to client’s needs.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and effective manner and escalate as necessary and encourage open communication channels to gather feedback.
- Communicate regularly with Coffee Bar Manager to report on team performance, address any concerns, and implement improvements as requested.
- Ensure all Health & Safety and Food Safety policies, procedures, and protocols are adhered to.
- Ensure due diligence and all accidents are reported to Coffee Bar Manager to escalate.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous experience as a barista in a fast-paced environment or a similar role
- Excellent level of both written and spoken English
- Displaying a ‘can do’ attitude
- Able to work under pressure whist keeping a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service and a genuine desire to provide a 5-star experience
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable:
- H&S certification (Level 2 or Level 3)
- Exceptional latte art skills
- Good knowledge of various types of coffee beans and roasts
- Innovative and creative with new ideas
