Search Recruitment Group are supporting a large business in East Leeds with the recruitment of an Assistant Finance Manager to join the team.

This role will work closely with the Finance Manager, and the ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong team work ethic with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the individual to meet deadlines whilst also being able to respond to daily requests from the finance manager and procurement manager.

You will provide general overall support to the Finance Manager including maintaining sales and purchase ledger, chasing customers for payments, reconciling supplier statements, processing supplier payments, reconciling bank and credit cards, processing accruals, prepayments and deferred income, entering journals, and assisting with the preparation for month end, year end and assisting with the audit

Requirements for the role:

  • AAT qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification
  • Month end procedures experience
  • Strong IT skills and experience of using Sage Line 50 would be beneficial.
  • Ability to prioritise and have good attention to detail
  • Ability to work on their own as well as part of the team, create own deadlines and manage own workload

  • Salary £32,000-£35,000 dependant on experience
