Crynodeb

Redfield Educate Together Primary is a two-form entry school, part of Educate Together Academy Trust. The Trust was established in 2014 and places inclusion at the heart of its thinking and seeks to ensure in its mission statement, that that ‘no child is an outsider’. The School’s Local Governing Body is looking to appoint a clerk to support them in their work. This post can easily fit in with other commitments. Hours are worked primarily during term time. Apart from attendance at meetings, the role can be carried out from home, at times of the day to suit the post-holder (within agreed deadlines). The post could easily be combined with other posts, including clerking roles in other schools. The post is a part-time position, for 90 hours per year covering 6 Governing Body meetings per academic year. Local Governing Body meetings will be held on weekday evenings at the school. The salary starts at NJC SCP13 which is £14.60 per hour plus a holiday pay allowance. The clerk to the governors is central to the smooth running of the governing body: preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes, offering administrative support, keeping records and giving procedural and legislative advice to the governing body. Clerks must have excellent organisation, communication and ICT skills, as well as an ability to take accurate minutes at meetings. To help the successful applicant fulfil their role we expect them to attend all relevant training events and Clerk’s Network meetings. We can also offer coaching in the role.
Closing date for applications is 9am on 8th July 2025.Interviews will take place in the week beginning 14th July.
