About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated QTS qualified SEN Specialist to join this dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant educational environment, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diverse learning needs and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create a cohesive support system for students.
  • Provide direct support and intervention to students in both individual and small group settings.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to meet changing needs.
  • Deliver training and guidance to staff on best practices for supporting SEN students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential.
  • Specialism or additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (e.g., SENCo accreditation) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience working with children with a range of SEN, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current educational legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
