About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) TA with a calm and caring nature to assist at a secondary school in Liverpool in September 2025. The ideal candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for going above and beyond for a child who presents SEN difficulties and challenging behaviour. SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Liverpool, L25
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Long-term
Working Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Pay: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a child with SEN difficulties and challenging behaviour, ensuring their safety and engagement in learning activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support classroom teachers with daily activities and help maintain a stimulating classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage student independence and self-confidence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEND pupils.
- Experience working within a school or similar setting.
- Team Teach Qualification (desirable).
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
- Ability to provide two professional references.
