Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity in Manchester this September? Hays Education is working in partnership with a highly respected specialist primary school in South Manchester to recruit a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for a temporary role starting in September 2025. This position is initially for the Autumn Term, with the potential to be extended or become permanent. In this role, you will support pupils aged 4-11 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism spectrum condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and physical and sensory needs. You will work closely with class teachers and therapists to deliver individualised support, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils access a broad and engaging curriculum.

What You'll Need to Succeed
- Experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
- A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) is desirable but not essential
