Job Title: Engineer Planner

Location: Crewe
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Reporting to: Reliability Lead

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Engineer Planner to join our Crewe Bakery site. This is a key role within the
engineering team, responsible for planning and coordinating all planned maintenance activities, driving continuous improvement,
and supporting reliability across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and prioritise all scheduled maintenance activities using the site’s CMMS.
* Liaise with stakeholders to manage and schedule work requests effectively.
* Support root cause and failure analysis (RCM, FMEA) to improve asset reliability.
* Capture, analyse and report downtime and maintenance data to inform improvements.
* Contribute to the delivery of the site’s asset care strategy and continuous improvement plans.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.
* Assist in the identification of training needs and resource planning within the engineering team.



Requirements:

* A recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (HND/HNC, degree, or time-served apprenticeship).
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing or similar FMCG environment.
* Proficient with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office.
* Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, root cause analysis and reliability principles.
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* Proactive, organised and committed to continuous improvement.
