Site Manager Required – Retail Refurbishment Project, Edinburgh

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a high-profile strip-out and façade refurbishment project in Edinburgh. The project involves the strip-out of 5 retail units along with façade works including the removal of existing signage, installation of new steels, and cladding.

Project Details:

• Location: Edinburgh

  
  

• Start Date: 28th July

  
  

• Duration: 18 weeks

  
  

• Day Rate: £300 (local candidates)

  
  

• Out of Hours Work: Required due to 3 units remaining live during works

  
  

• Out of Hours Rate: Negotiable

  
  

• Higher Rates: Available for non-local candidates

  
  

• Completion Bonus: Available for successful delivery

  
  

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing site activities including strip-out, structural works, and façade improvements

    
    

  • Coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring compliance with programme and quality standards

    
    

  • Managing health & safety, especially during out-of-hours operations

    
    

  • Liaising with clients and managing communications

    
    

  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings

    
    

  • Handling site documentation and drawing control

    
    

    Essential Qualifications:

    • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

      
      

    • First Aid at Work

      
      

    • Asbestos Awareness

      
      

    • IPAF

      
      

    • PASMA

      
      

    • Fire Warden Training

      
      

      Required Experience:

      • Strip-out and demolition works

        
        

      • Structural steel and groundworks

        
        

      • Interpreting and printing construction drawings

        
        

      • Effective communication (email and client-facing)

        
        

      • Coordinating multiple trades/subcontractors
