The Trial Manager recruited for this post will work on the Talking With Voices Trial II (TWV II) funded via the Efficacy and Mechanism Evaluation Program within the NIHR. The trial manager will coordinate a multifunctional team consisting of site leads and research assistants at 4 UK sites, clinician(s), statistician(s), and service user reference group members in the project management of this trial. This will include, but is not limited to, study oversight including regulatory approvals, ongoing study management, and closeout and reporting. Working with experienced clinical trial support service staff, the post holder will ensure that the clinical trial is conducted to the relevant clinical trial regulations. In addition, the trial manager will have line management and training responsibilities for the research assistants.

The role requires a research professional who has experience in clinical trials, particularly in mental health. The suitable candidate will be familiar with the regulatory environment surrounding clinical trials, and the implementation of a quality management system as it pertains to clinical trial conduct. The role also requires lived experience of hearing voices and experience of provision of supervision of voice dialoguing interventions.

The post holder will be based in Manchester at the Central Park site in GMMH. Occasional travel to the others trial sites may be required.
