-If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Mitie as Duty Security Manager in the London EC2 area, with a pay rate of £18.01 per hour.
Job Overview
-The role involves protecting the customer's property, people, and assets by providing security services in line with Assignment Instructions and adapting as required.
-You will be accountable for meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements to support contract retention.
-You will take part in ongoing training for continuous self-development.
Main Duties
-You will be responsible for the daily operation of security, acting as the first point of contact for the security team and ensuring standards of dress, discipline, and conduct.
-Duties include inducting and training security officers on site procedures (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarms), supporting team motivation and morale, and assisting in performance reviews and investigations.
-You will coordinate client liaison, ensure compliance with Assignment Instructions, keep security records and logs updated, and oversee data protection.
-The role reports to the Contract Security Manager and requires adherence to all relevant procedures, including Health & Safety.
-You are expected to manage team performance related to timekeeping and attendance, and may be given additional duties within the scope of the security contract as assigned by Mitie or the client.
What we are looking for
-You should have previous security experience, an SIA (Security Industry Authority) License, and ideally SC (Security Check) Clearance.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to work unsupervised are essential.
-You must be problem-solving, decisive, able to motivate staff, tactful, diplomatic, confident, and committed to self-development and continuous company improvement.
-An excellent record of attendance and timekeeping is required.
