Summary

South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre is a multi-purpose sports centre and swimming pool, accommodating two sports halls, gym, activity room, tennis courts, outdoor 3G pitch & multi use games area, serving the local community with a range of sport and leisure activities.

We are looking for an individual with an engaging personality and a natural ability to build strong relationships to join our gym team. The successful applicant will work as part of the team delivering the high level of customer service our users expect whilst conducting inductions and assessments and supporting our members to achieve their fitness goals. The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills and a high level of enthusiasm and must be qualified to a Level 3 Fitness Instructor. Duties will include personal fitness programmes, fitness assessments, retention, delivering group exercise classes as per any relevant qualifications and the day to day operations of the gym floor.

You must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, a high level of enthusiasm and be qualified to NVQ/YMCA Fitness Level 3.

This position is offered on a casual basis to cover the gym hours of the centre, from 5pm to 10.00pm on weekdays, and 8am – 8pm on weekends.
