To plan and organise their own and duties and responsibilities, at the clinical, organisational and multi-agency level. To ensure contemporaneous records are maintained, and to monitor clinical workload using agreedsystems in accordance with professional codes of practice, policies, and procedures. To promote a team approach to care within a multi-disciplinary framework, involving liaison andeffective communication of confidential and sensitive information with other statutory and voluntaryagencies. To ensure that the CAMHS Learning disability team develops in line with AWP core values andoutcomes, whilst following government recommendations and public health initiatives. To be the lead nurse, working autonomously and effectively as part of the community learning disabilityservice. The post holder will manage their own caseload, which will include children and young peoplewith additional mental health difficulties and/or challenging behaviour. To be familiar in identifying, assessing, and managing risk, through the use of a range of policies, procedures and assessment tools. To ensure the legal frameworks relevant to work undertaken within CAMHS Learning Disability team are adhered to and followed. To provide liaison, consultation, supervision and training to primary care professionals. To support and work closely with colleagues and other professionals working at different levels. To initiate and participate in training and education programs for student nurses on community placements. To exercise awareness of professional responsibilities by making time to study current relative literature and continuing professional development in line with NMC Revalidation requirements.
