DWP. Digital with Purpose.
DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work, and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
We are looking for a Senior IT Service Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We're driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services.
We're using fresh ideas and leading-edge technologies to build and maintain innovative, scalable and user-centric digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, at key moments in their lives.
The scale of what we do is extraordinary, and our purpose is unique. We'd love you to join us.

As a Senior IT Service Manager working on Health and Disability, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the end-to-end delivery, support, and user experience of key digital products and services.
With the current transformation of supplier and provider relationships in DWP and across government, this is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of meaningful change.
You'll lead the resolution of complex service issues, build strong relationships with commercial suppliers, and ensure our services meet both user needs and business priorities. Your expertise will guide decisions on product design, service delivery, and policy queries.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- ITIL qualified or equivalent experience.
- Proven management experience in large scale IT Live Service, layered multi-supplier organisations and services.
- Ability to contribute and steer resolution in major incident meetings that are reported against Health applications.
- Experience of the successful delivery of strategies to support products and/or services.
- Demonstrable experience in working with Senior Business Stakeholders to deliver services to meet business needs.
- Proven experience of leading individuals and teams to deliver IT service excellence.
