The Purpose of the1 Year fellowshipis to provide an exciting opportunity for senior upper GI trainees (ST6 and above) to acquire additional skills in emergency general surgery, elective upper GI surgery and endoscopy including OGD, EUS and ERCP. The Trust has a recognised Robotic Unit and the appointee will be involved and potentially trained in Robotic UGI surgery.

To enable Fellow to become an independent Consultant Surgeon who is able to undertake surgery and train in the above areas.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: The clinical Fellow will be on the on-call rota, which will be a 1:10. Frimley Park Hospital is a busy DGH serving a population of approximately 440,000. The workload of the department has been increasing steadily and the hospital is working hard to ensure that all registrar hours are compliant within the rota.
