Crynodeb

Are you a compliance professional with a strong understanding of SRA regulations and a passion for all things SRA related? This could be your next career move.

We’re supporting a Topflight Law firm in their search for a Compliance Manager to join their growing, collaborative Risk & Compliance team. Working alongside a supportive Director and forward-thinking colleagues, you’ll help shape and deliver the business’s approach to legal, regulatory, and operational risk management.

This is a varied and hands-on role that will suit someone with experience in a regulated law firm environment and a natural ability to communicate, advise and lead on compliance matters.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

• Experience working in a firm regulated by the SRA
• Good working knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct / Handbook
• Awareness of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and drafting
• Confident delivering training and advising colleagues at all levels
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider compliance team

This role is more focused around SRA Regulation and Compliance rather than AML, so applicants with a stronger knowledge in that area are desirable.

Within this position, you’ll also be:

• Responding to internal risk and compliance queries
• Drafting and updating clear, accurate policies and procedures
• Delivering training on SRA regulatory requirements across the business
• Conducting regular file reviews and audits to monitor compliance
• Reviewing compliance data and identifying improvement opportunities
• Supporting wider compliance and risk-related projects as required
• Contributing to internal readiness for accreditations such as ISO27001, ISO22301, and Lexcel

Hours and Salary

• Working pattern of Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
• Hybrid working (2 days in the office)
• 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
• Excellent pension
• Wellbeing initiatives
• Bonus Scheme

Known as a leader within the UK Legal Market, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience within Risk & Compliance within a legal setting to develop their craft and experience further, with opportunities for development and a super career progression route.
