Permanent, Part Time, term time only (17 hour per week)
Salary Scale: £24,530 per annum pro rata
We are: looking for a part time Library Assistant to work in the busy Information Ser-vices Department. The working pattern is during term time only: Monday 4.30pm - 8.30pm, Thursday 4.30pm – 8.30pm, Saturday 11am – 5pm and Sunday 12pm – 4pm.
You are: someone who won’t be fazed by a demanding, intense and passionate en-vironment. We are the only Conservatoire in the UK that offers training in all the per-formance disciplines and, as you’d expect, the demand for library materials to support the curriculum and performances is high.
You must have: excellent and proven customer service skills. Delivering a first-rate customer service is important to us so you will need to be experienced, skilled and confident when dealing with staff, students and the public alike – exceptional inter-personal and communication skills are a must. You must be capable of organising and prioritising your own workload as well as working as an effective member of the Information Services team.
Previous library experience and excellent computer skills are highly desirable as is knowledge of the performing arts.
