Stamford College is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Air & Defence College Co-ordinator to join our thriving team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional learning experiences, preparing students for successful careers in the RAF and beyond.

What You'll Do:

As our Air & Defence College Co-ordinator, you'll be instrumental in both teaching and managing key programmes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and nurturing: Take ownership of course management, ensuring high achievement rates for our Air & Defence programmes.
• Delivering excellence: Prepare and deliver engaging teaching and learning, including on-site assessments.
• Enriching experiences: Co-ordinate and supervise exciting enrichment activities, student visits, and residential trips (some overnight duties required).
• Guiding careers: Effectively prepare students for the rigorous RAF application and selection process.
• Promoting our vision: Actively participate in promotional activities, presenting to schools and community groups to attract future talent.
• Building connections: Establish and maintain vital links with external stakeholders and employers to enhance our program.
• Innovating curriculum: Work collaboratively to design, develop, and review cutting-edge Air & Defence College programmes.

What We're Looking For:

We're seeking an individual who is not only a skilled educator but also brings real-world experience and a passion for supporting young people.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Armed Forces experience in physical and adventurous training is crucial.
• Experience in preparing, delivering, and assessing health and wellbeing in line with Armed Forces fitness requirements.
• A Level 5 Teaching qualification (e.g., DTTLS, Diploma in Education and Training, Cert Ed or PGCE) or a commitment to achieve it within 3 years of employment (we'll support you!).
• Minimum Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
• Proficiency in leading expeditions and/or residential trips.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Access to transport for College and Group business.
Desired (but not essential) Qualifications & Experience:
• Assessor Award (A1/TQA/CAVA)
• Internal Verifier awards (V1/IQA)
• Experience teaching Public Services curriculum or working in Further/Higher Education.
• Prior course co-ordination experience.
