Hours 4 hours per week (Flexible day/hours to suit, happy to work around school hours if needed)
Payrate £13.46 per hour
Holiday 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Driving Licence Not essential
DBS Check Yes- will be funded by the employer
A bit about me:
I am a young 52 year-old male. I live independently in my own ground floor flat in Trowbridge. I enjoy company and love to keep active and busy – I’m not one for sitting down doing nothing! I particularly enjoy tending to my little garden, keeping my flat clean and tidy and meeting my friends in the lounge for a coffee. I regularly go to visit my mum who also lives in Trowbridge and I’m often asked to help her neighbours out with their gardening and grass cutting! I have cerebral palsy, I wear a hearing aid, have failing eyesight and have difficulty communicating verbally however, I have my phone to help me.
About the role:
I am looking for someone who can help me with some household tasks: bathroom cleaning, changing the bed, checking the sell by date of food in my fridge, shopping and some cooking. I may also need help getting to appointments. I would also really enjoy someone to keep me company on the odd day out in Bath or Bristol using my bus pass, lunch included!
The kind of person I am looking for:
Friendly and approachable, responsible, reliable and trustworthy. Good communication and social skills. To respect confidentiality and privacy and be sensitive to my needs. Be able to accept responsibility. Be willing to learn and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
