Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for Finance Operations Officer to join us!
This is a full-time, permanent position and a salary of £28,193 - £32,104 per annum.
The Role:
This is an exciting time to join our finance team at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Under new leadership, we are looking to build a world-class finance team to support all our services navigate the challenging financial environment in which local authorities operate. With the lowest Council Tax of any unitary authority outside of London we have a record of delivering efficiently. However, we cannot stand still and strengthening the finance team so that is fit to meet future demands is a priority.
This role will report directly to the Head of Operational Finance and will have an opportunity to work in treasury, accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial control. It is an opportunity to ensure that all income received is correctly allocated via our income management system, including the correct transfer of data to and from the system as well as getting involved in all the areas of financial operations
The role will involve:
Acting as the main contact with the income management system, including reconciling the daily income received and allied control accounts.
Undertake the administration for a number of RBWM schools on the council's online banking system.
Assist Corporate Accountant with producing monthly reconciliations.
Assist the Head of Financial Operations with the budget monitoring for the treasury cost centres
What we are looking for:
Someone qualified to AAT Professional level with experience of working in a transactional finance environment.
Experience in working effectively to deadlines and able to manage conflicting priorities
Confidence in using IT systems within both a financial and accounting environment
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels especially with non-financial colleagues.
