Finance Manager – Education

Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager – Education to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies of our educational institution. Your expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting will be crucial in helping us achieve our mission of delivering high-quality educational programs. You will work closely with management to develop budgets, forecast financial trends, and ensure compliance with regulations. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset who can provide insights to drive smart financial decisions. You will also manage financial reporting, work with auditors, and provide guidance on financial policies. As the Finance Manager, you will lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Responsibilities
Develop and manage the annual budget process for the educational institution.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability.
Oversee financial compliance with state and federal regulations pertaining to educational institutions.
Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Coordinate and facilitate external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional development and high performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
Proven experience in financial management, particularly within the education sector.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to present financial information effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders within an educational environment.
