Your new company
I am working to recruit an API / Integration Back End Developer for a prestigious nationally renowned business in Poole, with the option to work fully remote from within the UK.
You will support the Lead Integration Developer, alongside the Data team, on developing and implementing APIs across software systems.
This role is available as a 2 years (24 months) Fixed Term Contract, you will receive all permanent benefits but will have an end date on the position.
Your new role
In this role you'll manage all things API / Integration as a hands-on Software Developer.
As the Integration Developer, you will be collaborating with the data team to develop and gather requirements to translate them into effective API integration solutions. The organisation uses REST APIs and understanding of middleware platforms (e.g SnapLogic) would support you in being successful in this opportunity.
As part of the Mainstay programme, you will also be building integrations to support the data and wider user experiences. Also, API management tools such as Postman and Gravitee are most used
Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the Data team and translate information to non-technical stakeholders across the organisation.
Communication and interpersonal skills cannot be underestimated. Whether you're in the office or at home you will have high stakeholder engagement, both with the internal team and 3rd party development agency.
What you'll need to succeed
In this role you will report into the Lead Integration Dev as a hands-on contributor building back end API's and Services to integrate services within the organisation.
* Design, develop, and implement robust APIs
* Create API specifications, documentation, and guidelines to ensure consistent and effective API usage
* Collaborate to gather integration requirements and translate them into effective API integration solutions
* Build integrations that support real-time data synchronization, automate processes, and enhance user experiences
* Identify and resolve API integration issues promptly, collaborating with development and IT teams to implement effective solutions.
