About the role:
This school is seeking a dependable, proactive, and hands-on School Caretaker to join the team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained, supporting a positive learning environment for pupils and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the school grounds and buildings.
- Managing site security, including opening and locking up the premises.
- Conducting regular health and safety checks and reporting any issues.
- Supporting with deliveries, room setups, and school events.
- Liaising with contractors and external services when required.
What We're Looking For:
- Practical skills in basic maintenance, DIY, and site upkeep.
- Awareness of health and safety procedures (COSHH, fire safety, etc)
- A reliable, flexible, and self-motivated approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role in an educational setting.
