Crynodeb

Are you passionate about empowering students and shaping their university experience? Do you thrive in a dynamic, student-focused environment? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

Lancaster University Management School is seeking to recruit a full time Student Programmes Officer, which is a pivotal role in the support of our education services in the faculty. You will be based primarily in the Department of Marketing and will lead and manage a team of student-facing professional services staff. You’ll collaborate with academic departments, student and education services, and external partners to create an outstanding learning experience. The team currently comprises four administrators and is part of a wider Education Services Team, led by the Faculty’s Education Services Manager.

You will be based in the Department of Marketing but may be expected to work within other academic departments of the faculty as required. This is a maternity cover and will be until the end of June 2026 in the first instance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You will be able to demonstrate experience of managing a team of people or supervising colleagues to drive results and ensure effective change and continuous improvement.
  • You will be a self-motivated team player, with a commitment to professional development, for yourself and your team.
  • You will ideally have experience of delivering high quality administrative services in a Higher Education or other relevant environment.
  • You will be able to take the lead on quality assurance, quality enhancement, timetabling and assessment processes.
  • You will be able to demonstrate competent IT skills and the ability to work with new systems and software in an evolving digital environment.

Why join our team?

  • Generous holiday leave - 25 days (pro-rata) annual leave plus University closure days and bank holidays.
  • Access to employee pension scheme, and annual flexible benefits scheme.
  • The Faculty and department offer a highly collegial and stimulating environment for career development based on our values and embedded Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI) considerations and actions. We are committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies on an individual basis as well as the Athena SWAN Charter, which recognises and celebrates good employment practices undertaken to address gender equality in higher education and research. Furthermore, we are active and progressive around sustainability, well-being and decolonising agendas.

If you’re excited about creating an exceptional student experience and want to be part of a forward-thinking team, we’d love to hear from you!
