Factory Hygiene Cleaner required for a prominent national food manufacturer in Poole, Dorset.
Immediate Start Available and this is a permanent opportunity.
Hours: (Tuesday to Saturday)
Tuesday to Thursday: 7am - 3pm
Friday: 7am - 12pm
Saturday: 6am - 4pm
Sunday and Monday: OFF
Salary:
£12.85 per hour with occasional overtime at £19.28 per hour after 39 hours worked.
Position Overview:The Industrial Hygiene Cleaner is responsible for deep cleaning of machinery, production areas, and associated equipment within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring we meet strict hygiene and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:•
Carry out scheduled cleaning and deep cleaning of food production areas, including machinery, walls, floors, and surfaces.
•
Follow cleaning schedules, procedures, and hygiene protocols in line with food safety standards (e.g., BRC, HACCP).
•
Use industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment (e.g., foaming systems, pressure washers) safely and effectively.
•
Dismantle, clean, and reassemble machinery as required.
•
Accurately complete cleaning records and documentation.
•
Work closely with production and technical teams to ensure hygiene compliance.
•
Identify and report any hygiene or maintenance issues promptly.
•
Adhere strictly to health & safety and food hygiene regulations at all times, including the use of appropriate PPE.
Person Specification:
Essential:
•
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
•
Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions and procedures.
•
Comfortable working with industrial chemicals and cleaning equipment.
•
Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
•
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
•
Willingness to work in cold or wet environments as part of the cleaning routine.
Desirable:
•
Food hygiene or cleaning-related certification (e.g., Level 2 Food Safety, COSHH).
• Previous experience in an industrial or food hygiene cleaning role.
•
Experience in a BRC- or HACCP-accredited environment.
•
Knowledge of cleaning validation processes.
