Title: LGV Cat C+E (Class 1) Driver / Tramping Driver The Best Connection are seeking HGV Class 1 (LGV CE) Drivers to work with our client based in Felling, Gateshead. Our client is a leading name in the general haulage and waste sector, looking for trampers to stay out Monday to Friday.
The Role: Trunk runs, back-loads or trailer swaps at various locations in the UK. Opening and closing the curtain for goods to be offloaded. Ensuring efficient and accurate deliveries to customers within set timeframes. This is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and a friendly attitude are essential. The Candidate: Must hold a valid UK Class 1 (LGV CE) driving licence. Minimum 2 years of commercial Class 2 driving experience required. Smart appearance with a positive, customer-focused approach. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Hours & Pay: Monday to Friday shift pattern. 4 nights out per week. 07:00 AM start time. £14.00 per hour (PAYE) Monday to Friday. £21.00 per hour (PAYE) Weekends and Bank Holidays. £25.00 night out allowance.
