The Best Connection are looking for Street Cleaners for our esteemed client in Burntwood.
The role will involve a multitude of different duties ranging from the following: Litter and Debris Removal: Collects and removes litter, trash, and debris from streets, sidewalks, and other public areas. Graffiti Removal: Removes graffiti from street signs, buildings, and other surfaces. Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweeps and vacuums pavements, gutters, and roadways using hand-operated tools and/or machinery. Public Toilet Cleaning: May be responsible for cleaning public toilets and facilities. Roadside Cleaning: Cleans up leaves, grass clippings, and other debris from roadsides and verges. Hazard Reporting: Identifies and reports potential hazards like broken glass or other dangerous materials. Equipment Maintenance: Maintains and cleans cleaning equipment, including brooms, shovels, and dust carts. Waste Disposal: Transfers collected waste into containers and may assist with disposal at transfer stations. Working Conditions: Outdoor Environment: Street cleaners primarily work outdoors in all weather conditions. Physical Activity: The job requires physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting. Set Routes: Street cleaners typically follow a set route and schedule to ensure efficient cleaning. Pay rate - £12.60 per hour
Shift time - 08:00 to 17:00
Benefits & Requirements:
- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
- Induction Training
- Ongoing Assignment
- Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
- Training Provided
