We are seeking a dedicated SEND Nurture Teacher to join our supportive team in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Halewood, Liverpool. This is a full-time role for someone who can create a calm, inclusive, and structured environment where children feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
The Role:
- Deliver a creative and responsive curriculum to a small group of pupils with complex needs, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties.
- Focus on emotional well being, social development, and academic progress through nurture-based teaching
- Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families to create personalised learning plans
- Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence
- Maintain a safe, structured, and caring classroom environment
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching children with SEN, particularly SEMH or ASD
- A nurturing, trauma-informed approach to teaching and behaviour management
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- Resilience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
