Rikama Education Limited are working with a SEN School in the area who are looking for Care workers who are caring individuals to support young people in a residential setting on the school grounds.
As a carer you will help the school to create a caring, supportive and safe atmosphere for the young people where they can enjoy learning and social activities. You will work with within a team environment and will have plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and grow your career.
The shifts required for the school carer are Monday - Friday - 7.30am to 10am and 3.30pm-10pm.
some options to work weekend shifts. 7:30am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 7:30am - 10pm
Skills Required for carers
• First-class communication skills are essential in the role, along with sensitivity, integrity and adaptability.
• Experience of working with children and young people within a health or social care environment, including personal care and moving and handling (training can be provided for the right candidate).
• Working knowledge of risk assessment practice and the ability to respond effectively to differing demands when required.
• Desired is experience of working with children and young adults with diverse SEN Conditions and medical needs including potentially physical needs.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• You will need to have a DBS registered to the update system which caters for children and adults as the age range for the young people based at the school are aged 5-19.
