The Sixth Form College, Solihull is a large, culturally diverse specialist in A Levels and Level 3 vocational qualifications, and part of the Summit Learning Trust.
A suitably qualified and enthusiastic Music teacher who is passionate about their subject is required for the 2025/26 academic year to teach A level Music and lead our music enrichments.
To be successful you will have a relevant degree and/or vocational qualification or equivalent and hold a teaching qualification. You will also have experience of teaching A-Level Music, preferably on the EDEXCEL specification.

What the school offers its staff
Teaching subjects in the College are currently structured into thirteen groupings, of which Creative Arts is one.
The Creative Arts Curriculum Area delivers A levels in Fine Art, Photography, Graphics, Music and Drama and Theatre and a BTEC Extended Diploma in Art and Design Practice.
There are six teachers across the team, with two technicians who work alongside the teachers delivering these courses. The work of learners is supported by excellent facilities such as a theatre, practical drama and music rooms, and the School of Art, a purpose-built facility with a specialist studio for ceramic, a printmaking room, an Apple Mac suite and a Photography studio.
The Specifications on offer to learners are:
A-Level Photography (Art, Craft and Design) AQA
A-Level Fine Art (Art, Craft and Design) AQA
A-Level Graphics (Art, Craft and Design) AQA
BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design Practice EDEXCEL
A level Drama & Performing Arts AQA
A level Music EDEXCEL
There are also opportunities for learners from outside the curriculum area, e.g. Theatre in Education and Musical Activities. All of the learners within the area benefit from a variety of trips: productions, concerts, art galleries, including one international Art trip each year. Learner achievement is celebrated with showcases and exhibitions. These all contribute significantly to the ethos of the College. This is a challenging and stimulating area within which to work.
